 Here is a simple recipe for making pancakes:



Ingredients:


1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:


In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using).

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined (a few lumps in the batter are okay).

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.

Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges start to look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side.

Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Note: You can adjust the amount of sugar and salt to your liking. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the dry ingredients for extra flavor.

Also, you can add some blueberries,chocolate chips or any other mix-ins to the batter before cooking.
